Easy checkin with a pleasant group of staff. Theyvweree very helpful with recommendations and answers to questions about the area. Nice roomy lobby with a nice view of a water scape and access to free coffee and tea. We did the buffet breakfast a couple days which had a wide variety of food choices. Stayed in a corner room that was a great accommodation with wonderful layout, comfortable bed and pillows. All the amenities needed for a stay, even umbrellas. Dual sinks, refrigerator, Toto bidet and large shower.
Checkout was a quick and easy 2 minutes.

I paid for the breakfast which was excellent with their selection of traditional Japanese food and western food.
Hotel location was convenient to get to the Karasuma Station where I could catch the express train to Osaka. Also it was central to catching buses to many historical sites in the west, east and north.
The room with two twin beds was adequate. Loved the Toto digital toilet.

Close to the station, helpful staff that knew enough English to be helpful with further trip planning. Good space in the room.

We loved Kyoto and felt that we could have stayed another 2 nights to see more attractions and take our time with the ones we did see. This destination is popular so factor in busy attractions when you are booking. We recommend at least 3 full days in Kyoto

Even though Kyoto is nice I would not recommend travelling there. The city is too crowded to visit unfortunately. There is too many tourists and I feel bad being a tourist there. You can't even visit a restaurant in the city Center or walk through the city without being stuck between other tourists. There is many other nice areas in Japan that I would prefer over Kyoto. It's just too many tourists which destroys the atmosphere

Kyoto is very beautiful.
Kyoto is very beautiful. It is very touristy but I could still enjoy wandering along the old streets, shops, restaurants etc. The temples, shrines, bamboo forests are very stunning. People are very nice and friendly. There are a lot to see in Kyoto.

So many beautiful sights in Kyoto.
So many beautiful sights in Kyoto. We loved the bamboo forest and nearby gardens, Fushimi Inari, the Golden Palace, Pontocho St, and dining along the river. The shopping streets between the gorgeous Yasaka Shrine and the Kiyomizu-dera Temple were fun and quirky. The public transportation in Kyoto left a little to be desired, so we ended up using taxis more than we did in other Japan cities, but that was ok.

I expected Kyoto to be busy.
I expected Kyoto to be busy. But it was ridiculously busy in all the tourist 'hotspots'.
You couldn't enjoy its beauty and attractions because of this. Being hearded around like cattle is not fun!
We enjoyed the less touristy areas. There are good restaurants and bars

* Exploring old Kyoto ( you better be prepared to walk a lot!) we were!
* The Romantic Train- & the river boat cruise down the mid level rapids ( very underrated) It was the highlight of of our Kyoto trip! Do the Bamboo forest early in the day and the boat cruise!
I would say Hiroshima- maybe another option if you like Kyoto!

Fantastic location. Near Nishiki market which had lots of unexpected great food. Near happening shopping areas and walkable to the train stations and Gion area. Hotel staff were very friendly and went out of the way to introduce places for us to visit. Do note however that only basic room cleaning is provided most days with full cleaning only on third night.
Perfectly located in the heart and soul of Kyoto, Gion is one of the city's best-preserved historic areas and a great place for experiencing traditional Kyoto. The staff at Gion Ryokan Q-Beh is freindly. The place is clean, light cooking at the kitchen is allowed, coin operated laundry is also available at the hotel.
Boutique style hotel with large rooms.
Located directly opposite Kyoto station so location is great with many restaurants in the immediate area.
Hotel appears very new so room condition is great with little sign of use.
Property deserves a 5 star rating.
We have stayed in few hotels in Japan but this was by far the best one!
5 star service with very comfortable room and breakfast delivered to your door. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Great location and big comfortable room.
The location of the hotel was the best. It's just opposite Kyoto station. The staff were all polite and helpful. It got an artificial onsen. They got complimentary free fruit ice popsicle.
